Abstract Airborne electromagnetic (AEM) data often fills the lithologic gap between boreholes and produces large‐scale structure and heterogeneity of aquifers. However, due to the nature of AEM data, there are unavoidable uncertainties in its nonunique interpretation.

MULTIPLICATIVE DECOMPOSITION BASED FDEM MODEL FOR MEMBRANE STRUCTURES
A finite strain large displacement model for membrane structures based on the combined finite- discrete element method (FDEM) has been developed. The model is implemented into the the open source FDEM package - Yfdem. The paper also presents benchmark tests and numerical results.

3D Topological Toron‐Like Domains in Magnetic Nanoparticles: A Micromagnetic Simulation
This study systematically investigates the size‐dependent behaviors of non‐uniform magnetic domain structures in submicron‐sized FeNi nanoparticles using micromagnetic simulations. The existence of magnetic toron‐like structures at the submicron scale is identified.

Imaging Bajocian Coral Ridges in the Paris Basin and Deciphering Their Origin
Integration between deep subsurface geology and geophysics, near‐surface geophysics including, together with high‐resolution sedimentological field work on outcropping Bajocian limestone in quarries of the eastern edge of the Paris Basin. Ridges observed in 3D seismic images correspond to the coral buildups, probably nucleated from the crest of dunes ...

Simplified stochastic soil-moisture models: a look at infiltration [PDF]
International audienceA simplified, vertically-averaged model of soil moisture interpreted at the daily time scale and forced by a stochastic process of instantaneous rainfall events is compared with a vertically-averaged model which uses a non ...

Often, multiple geophysical measurements are sensitive to the same subsurface parameters. In this case, joint inversions are mostly preferred over two (or more) separate inversions of the geophysical data sets due to the expected reduction of the non ...
