Development and Experimental Validation of a Bistable SMA Active Grill Shutter Actuator

ABSTRACT This study explores the use of bistable shape memory alloy (SMA) actuators in active grille shutters (AGS) to improve vehicle aerodynamics. The actuator, designed for adaptive movement, was tested and refined to achieve a reliable 90° rotation.
