On companding techniques for PAPR reduction in DCT SC-FDMA system in the presence of CFOs

open access: yesAlexandria Engineering Journal, 2023
In the single carrier frequency division multiple access (SC-FDMA) system, the use of discrete cosine transform (DCT) instead of discrete Fourier transform (DFT) has shown improved bit error rate (BER) performance.

A novel frequency-domain implementation of Tomlinson-Harashima precoding for SC-FDMA [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
There is considerable interest in the use of single carrier frequency division multiple access (SC-FDMA) as the uplink transmission scheme in the 3GPP Long Term Evolution standard. This interest is justified by the inherent single carrier structure of SC-

Scheduling for virtual MIMO in Single Carrier FDMA (SC-FDMA) system

open access: yes2010 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology Convergence (ICTC), 2010
In this paper, we consider a joint frequency-domain scheduling and user-pairing problem for virtual MIMO in SC-FDMA system, e.g., 3GPP-LTE. Due to the subcarrier adjacency constraint inherent to SC-FDMA, its complexity becomes unmanageable. We propose a greedy heuristic algorithm for PF scheduling to deal with the complexity in this joint problem.

Minimizing Age of Information in Energy Harvesting Wireless Sensor Networks

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
We consider the uplink of an energy harvesting (EH) wireless sensor network (WSN) where N single-antenna sensors communicate with a common fusion center (FC) with the aim of cooperatively minimizing the overall average age of information (AoI ...

Performance Analysis of a Modified SC-FDMA-DSCDMA Technique for 4G Wireless Communication

open access: yesJournal of Computer Networks and Communications, 2014
Single-carrier FDMA (SC-FDMA) is becoming more and more popular in multiuser communication because of its lower PAPR value. Apart from this, many other hybrid access techniques have also been explored in the literature for application to 4G wireless ...

Performance Evaluation of Low Density Spreading Multiple Access [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
In this paper, we evaluate the performance of Multicarrier-Low Density Spreading Multiple Access (MC-LDSMA) as a multiple access technique for mobile communication systems. The MC-LDSMA technique is compared with current multiple access techniques, OFDMA
