The Fornax Deep Survey with VST. VIII. Connecting the accretion history with the cluster density
This work is based on deep multi-band (g, r, i) data from the Fornax Deep Survey with VST. We analyse the surface brightness profiles of the 19 bright ETGs inside the virial radius of the Fornax cluster.

Abstract Objective The diagnosis of functional/dissociative seizures (FDS) without ictal video‐electroencephalography is challenging. The Functional/Dissociative Seizures Likelihood Score (FSLS) is a machine learning‐based diagnostic score that aims to help clinicians identify FDS.

AC Loss Reduction in HTS Coil Windings Coupled With an Iron Core Using Flux Diverters
Iron cores are widely employed in high temperature superconducting (HTS) power devices to enhance the magnetic field and improve the power density. In spite of these benefits, the presence of iron cores leads to a substantial increase in AC loss within ...

Test of Factorization Hypothesis from Exclusive Non-leptonic B decays [PDF]
We investigate the possibility of testing factorization hypothesis in non-leptonic exclusive decays of B-meson. In particular, we considered the non factorizable \bar{B^0} -> D^{(*)+} D_s^{(*)-} modes and \bar{B^0} -> D^{(*)+} (\pi^-, \rho^-) known as ...

Abstract Objective Conceptualizing functional/dissociative seizures (FDS) as resulting from dissociation, or conversion, we hypothesized that, compared to epileptic seizures (ES), FDS should carry more symbolic or communicative content and that this would allow observers to distinguish FDS from ES.

Recurrent and sporadic Forbush decreases during solar cycles 23–24
A comparison has been made between recurrent (associated with high-speed streams from coronal holes) and sporadic (caused by interplanetary coronal mass ejections (ICMEs)) Forbush decreases (FDs) in solar cycles 23 and 24 (as well as in the maxima of ...

Forced Draught Impact on Externally Venting Flames: An Experimental and Numerical Investigation
ABSTRACT Wind can significantly influence fire development and spread in urban and forest environments causing fatal consequences for the public, the first responders, and the environment. Wind‐driven fires can have a significant impact on structural fires as wind can increase the fire's intensity, development, and flame spread.

Heavy-Light Meson Decay Constants on the Lattice [PDF]
We present a high statistics study of the D- and B-meson decay constants. The results were obtained by using the Clover and Wilson lattice actions at $\beta=6.0$ and 6.2.Comment: 3 pages, 2 ps figures; Talk presented at LATTICE ...
