Multiple Scattering Suppression in Heterogeneous Media: High‐Precision Imaging of Sleeve Grouting Defects Based on Elastic Reverse Time Migration

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 6, June 2026.
This study proposes an elastic wave reverse time migration (RTM) method to suppress multiple scattering noise in heterogeneous concrete. By effectively utilizing scattered wavefields, RTM enables high‐precision, robust imaging of sleeve grouting defects in prefabricated buildings, significantly outperforming traditional algorithms.

Wideband Matching of Waveguide Discontinuities by FDTD Methods

open access: yes, 1994
Finite Difference-Time Domain (FDTD) methods offer, in principle, promise of great flexibility for application to waveguide discontinuities of any kind. The problem of appropriate termination in the guide environment has recently been addressed.

Time-domain modelling: Combining ESM and FDTD methods for acoustic wave propagation

open access: yes, 2009
Time-domain modelling of acoustic wave propagation is computationally expensive, escpecially in applications with large differences in length scales, such as thermoacoustic devices. Thus, there is a need for efficient modelling solutions. One possibility

Hierarchical VO2@BiVO4 Films Decorated With Porous BiVO4 Nanoplates for Durable and Self‐Cleaning Smart Windows

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT VO2 is a promising thermochromic material, but it is still limited by low transparency, weak solar modulation, and poor stability. Here, we develop a coordination‐compound‐derived strategy to construct a hierarchical BiVO4/VO2@BiVO4 film with a core–shell@nanosheet structure.

Nonorthogonal locally one dimensional FDTD method

open access: yes, 2011
We present unconditionally stable Non-orthogonal Locally One Dimensional (LOD) finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method. The non-orthogonal formulation can be useful to extend the LOD-FDTD methods for curved discontinuities so as to obtain more ...

Embedded physical modelling modular synthesizer based on FDTD methods

open access: yes, 2023
This paper describes the implementation and features of a modular synth that utilises physical modelling synthesis. The physical models are based on finite-difference time do- main (FDTD) methods and consist of a damped stiff string and an acoustic tube.
