Engineering Hydrogen‐Down Water Configurations for Ampere‐Level Electrochemical CO2 Reduction to Formate

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Electrochemical CO2 reduction (ECR) to formate is a promising route for sustainable chemical production. Herein, we report the synthesis catalysed byBi‐HfO2@C. The AIMD simulations, DFT calculations, and in situ SEIRAS measurements show that the modification of HfO2 on the Bi surface steers the interfacial water to adopt a favorable hydrogen‐down (OH2↓)

Tailoring microstructure in a soft-magnetic Fe-based amorphous-nanocrystalline alloy for high resistivity according to electrical percolation threshold

open access: yesMaterials & Design
Superior soft-magnetic materials are necessary for the development of modern magnetic devices with energy-saving and high-power density requirements. However, improving the magnetism by nanocrystallization always brings about the sacrifice of resistivity,

Taming the Immiscibility of Gold, Iron, and Boron to Craft Chemodegradable Nanoparticles for Multimodal Imaging and Radiotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Over half of cancer patients undergo radiotherapy. Laser ablation enabled the synthesis of immiscible Au‐Fe‐B nanoparticles designed as degradable bimodal radiosensitizers for X‐ray radiotherapy (XRT), boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT), and bimodal imaging for X‐ray computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). These nanosensitizers

Nanotherapies for Atherosclerosis: Targeting, Catalysis, and Energy Transduction

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Atherosclerosis management is hindered by poor drug targeting and plaque heterogeneity. Nanotechnology overcomes these barriers via three core strategies: (1) target‐engineered nanocarriers that achieve lesion‐specific precision via ligand modification, biomimetic camouflage, stimuli‐responsive release, and self‐propelling nanomotors; (2) catalytic ...

Bacteria‐Responsive Nanostructured Drug Delivery Systems for Targeted Antimicrobial Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Bacteria‐responsive nanocarriers are designed to release antimicrobials only in the presence of infection‐specific cues. This selective activation ensures drug release precisely at the site of infection, avoiding premature or indiscriminate release, and enhancing efficacy.

Thermodynamic stabilities of NdFe3Al2, Nd5Fe17 and μ compounds and evolutions of microstructures and magnetic properties of Nd-Fe-Al alloys with nanocrystallites

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology
In the Nd-Fe-Al ternary system, thermodynamic stabilities of three compounds, NdFe3Al2, Nd5Fe17 and μ, were determined by the equilibrated alloys, indicating that both NdFe3Al2 and μ ternary compounds are metastable phases, while Nd5Fe17 compound is a ...

Water Permeates and Plasticizes Amorphous Carbon Dots: Unraveling the Inner Accessibility of the Nanoparticles by Glass Transition Studies

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The water permeability of amorphous carbon dots (CDs) is demonstrated by investigating their plasticization. Novel polyamide‐based and amorphous nanoparticles are synthesized by controlling their inner packing density. Water plasticization is evidenced by the decrease of the CDs glass transition temperature with increasing the hydration degree.
