On glass-forming ability of Fe-based amorphous alloys
Materials Letters, 1999Abstract Supercooled liquid region and tensile fracture strength of Fe–B(–Zr–Nb) amorphous alloys have been measured. The multiplication to the binary and ternary system leads to the formation of metallic glass, increase of glass-forming ability (GFA) and strength due to the satisfaction of the three empirical rules for achievement of high GFA ...

Ion bombardment of Fe-based amorphous metallic alloys
Hyperfine Interactions, 2009Fe74Cu1Nb3Si16B6 amorphous metallic alloy is investigated after ion irradiation by 110 keV N + and 593 MeV Au ions. The depth-profiles of the radiation damage were calculated by the SRIM2008 code. Applicability of transmission and conversion electron Mossbauer effect measurements to distinguish between the bulk and surface radiation damage is ...

Magnetic Relaxations in Amorphous and Nanocrystalline Fe-based Alloys
Journal of the Magnetics Society of Japan, 1999The disaccommodation of the magnetic susceptibility and microstructure for the amorphous and nanocrystalline Fe87Zr7B6 and Fe73.5CulNb3Si13.5B9 alloys are investigated. It is found that the disaccommodation intensity decreases after annealing amorphous ribbons. It is due to the annealing out of some free volumes in these samples.

A novel Fe-based amorphous alloy with oxidation treatment
IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1987By means of XRD, TEM and XPS the magnetic properties of Fe 76 Mo 3 (SiB) 21 amorphous alloys and the relations between the atomic distribution of various constituent elements and the behaviors of partial crystallization near the surface have been investigated.

Core loss characteristics of Fe-based amorphous alloys
Intermetallics, 2009Abstract Relations of core losses with the peak inductions and magnetizing frequencies of Fe-based amorphous alloys were investigated. Core losses of these Fe-based amorphous alloys were measured under sinusoidal induction at the frequency range from 50 Hz to 1 kHz and various inductions from 0.6 T to 1.0 T. The results indicated that the core losses

Effect of C addition on the corrosion properties of amorphous Fe-based amorphous alloys
International Journal of Modern Physics B, 2019Fe-based amorphous alloys are important materials with a high potential for commercialization by evaluating their corrosion performances. In this work, amorphous Fe[Formula: see text]Cu1Nb3Si[Formula: see text]B9 alloy was chosen as a target material to investigate the effects of the addition of C on the corrosion properties by an electrochemical ...

Soft magnetic amorphous and nanocrystalline Fe-based alloys
2011The crystallization of amorphous metallic alloys is a complex process accompanied by nucleation and growth of different crystalline phases. Generally the phase composition affects the physical and chemical properties of a metallic alloy. Hence, detailed knowledge of the crystallization processes is necessary in order to tailor such industrially ...
