Competing Orders in FeAs Layers [PDF]
Physical Review Letters, 2008Using the unrestricted Hartree-Fock approximation and Landau theory we identify possible phases competing with superconductivity in FeAs layers. We find that close to half-filling the transition from the paramagnet to the magnetically ordered phase is first-order making anharmonicities relevant and leading to a rich phase diagram.

Quasiparticle Band Structure and Density Functional Theory: Single-Particle Excitations and Band Gaps in Lattice Models [PDF]
, 1999We compare the quasiparticle band structure for a model insulator obtained from the fluctuation exchange approximation (FEA) with the eigenvalues of the corresponding density functional theory (DFT) and local density approximation (LDA). The discontinuity in the exchange-correlation potential for this model is small and the FEA and DFT band structures ...

MuSR studies of RE(O,F)FeAs (RE = La, Nd, Ce) and LaOFeP systems: possible incommensurate/stripe magnetism and superfluid density [PDF]
Phys. Rev. Lett. 102, 087001 (2009), 2008Muon spin relaxation (MuSR) measurements in iron oxy-pnictide systems have revealed: (1) commensurate long-range order in undoped LaOFeAs; (2) Bessel function line shape in La(O0.97F0.03)FeAs which indicates possible incommensurate or stripe magnetism; (3) anomalous weak magnetism existing in superconducting LaOFeP, Ce(O0.84F0.16)FeAs, and Nd(O0.88F0 ...

Raman spectra in iron-based quaternary CeO$_{1-x}$F$_x$FeAs and LaO$_{1-x}$F$_x$FeAs [PDF]
Supercond. Sci. Technol. 22, 015017(2009), 2008Raman spectra have been measured on iron-based quaternary CeO$_{1-x}$F$_x$FeAs and LaO$_{1-x}$F$_x$FeAs with varying fluorine doping at room temperatures. A group analysis has been made to clarify the optical modes. Based on the first principle calculations, the observed phonon modes can be assigned accordingly. In LaO$_{1-x}$F$_x$FeAs, the E$_g$ and A$

Tunneling spectroscopy of $sπ$ pairing state as a model for FeAs superconductors [PDF]
arXiv, 2008We present the self-consistent Bogoliubov-de Gennes calculations of an $s\pi$ pairing state of two band superconductivity as a model for the FeAs superconductors. The $s\pi$ state is an s-wave pairing state with an internal $\pi$ phase, that is, nodeless gaps on each band but with the opposite sign.

Band structure of SrFeAsF and CaFeAsF as parent phases for a new group of oxygen-free FeAs superconductors [PDF]
, 2008By means of first-principle FLAPW-GGA calculations, we have investigated the electronic properties of the newly discovered layered quaternary systems SrFeAsF and CaFeAsF as parent phases for a new group of oxygen-free FeAs superconductors. The electronic bands, density of states, Fermi surfaces, atomic charges, together with Sommerfeld coefficients and

Biomechanics in Removable Partial Dentures: A Literature Review of FEA-Based Studies
BioMed Research International, 2021The present study was aimed at reviewing the studies that used finite element analysis (FEA) to estimate the biomechanical stress arising in removable partial dentures (RPDs) and how to optimize it.
