Numerical analysis of debonding behavior of FRP sheets bonded to concrete focusing on mortar skin

open access: yesStructural Concrete, EarlyView.
Abstract This paper proposes a novel simple method for finite element analysis (FEA) to simulate the debonding behavior of fiber‐reinforced polymer (FRP) sheets bonded to concrete. This study focuses on the mortar skin of the concrete surface layer, which fails during FRP sheet debonding.

Numerical analysis of the effects of corrosion on the punching shear capacity of reinforced concrete flat slabs with openings

open access: yesStructural Concrete, EarlyView.
Abstract The reinforcement corrosion is one of the main degradation mechanisms in reinforced concrete structures. Its effects can harm structural elements by reducing mechanical capacity, mainly due to diminished reinforcement properties and expansive reactions within the concrete.

Neural Correlates of Task‐Specific Willingness to Communicate: Expanding the Research Agenda

open access: yesTESOL Quarterly, EarlyView.
Abstract Learners' affective responses to pedagogic tasks and the effort that they invest in completing them are critical to the learning that takes place through tasks in task‐based language teaching (TBLT) (Lambert, Aubrey, & Bui, 2023). Fluctuations in learners' willingness to communicate (WTC) during pedagogic tasks—or task‐specific WTC (Aubrey ...

Structural Complexity From Powder X‐Ray Diffraction Data: Sr25[Mn42N50]: A New Member in the Family of Two‐Dimensional Intergrowth Nitridometalates

open access: yesZeitschrift für anorganische und allgemeine Chemie, EarlyView.
Sr25[Mn42N50] represents a new member in the family of layered nitridomanganates with complex crystal structures built up by 2D intergrowth – tiling at its best. The new compound Sr25[Mn42N50] (space group P 3¯, Pearson code hP117, a = 17.9756(7) Å, c = 5.7935(2) Å) represents a new member in the family of layered nitridomanganates with complex crystal
