Validation of the City Birth Trauma Scale in a sample of Norwegian mothers

Acta Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, EarlyView.
The Norwegian City Birth Trauma Scale (City BiTS‐Nor) demonstrated strong psychometric properties in a sample of 1079 mothers. A bifactor structure and high reliability support its use for assessing childbirth‐related PTSD symptoms. Findings highlight its clinical utility for screening and guiding targeted interventions in perinatal mental health care.

Validity and accuracy of the Whooley questions to identify symptoms of depression in Norwegian postpartum women

Identifying time‐efficient case‐finding instruments for postpartum depression is imperative for early detection. The results of the present study show strong psychometric properties of the two‐item Whooley instrument, making it a suitable case‐finding instrument for symptoms of depression in primary health care.
