THE EFFECT OF FERTILIZER AND AGRICULTURAL MACHINERY SUBSIDIES ON PADDY PRODUCTIVITY: A FEASIBLE GENERALIZED LEAST SQUARES APPROACH

open access: yesSepa, 2023
Paddy is a commodity that is widely cultivated by farmers in Indonesia. Paddy farmers are currently facing the threat of declining farm productivity due to land conversion activities, access to inputs that are difficult to reach, and climate change ...

Feasible generalized least squares for panel data with cross-sectional and serial correlations [PDF]

open access: yesEmpirical Economics, 2020
This paper considers generalized least squares (GLS) estimation for linear panel data models. By estimating the large error covariance matrix consistently, the proposed feasible GLS (FGLS) estimator is more efficient than the ordinary least squares (OLS) in the presence of heteroskedasticity, serial, and cross-sectional correlations.

Economic policy uncertainty and stock returns among OPEC members: evidence from feasible quasi-generalized least squares

open access: yesFuture Business Journal, 2022
We examine the predictive ability of economic policy uncertainty on stock returns of selected OPEC countries. In order to deal with certain statistical properties of the predictors, which include serial correlation, persistence, conditional ...

Feasible generalized least squares estimation of multivariate GARCH(1, 1) models

open access: yesJournal of Multivariate Analysis, 2014
A feasible generalized least squares estimator for multivariate GARCH(1,1) models is suggested and its theoretical properties are investigated. Under mild assumptions the estimator is consistent and asymptotically normal distributed with the same variance as the quasi-maximum likelihood estimator. As a drawback the corresponding estimator can result in

Production Risk with Feasible Generalized Least Square

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2020
Abstract This study investigates production risk. A multistage stratified random sampling technique was adopted to select sampling unit. In between Cobb Douglas and Linear quadratic model, the linear quadratic model had been picked through feasible generalized least square method. The numerical model, we utilize the information from rice

Economic Growth Determinants of Asean Economic Community: Feasible Generalized Least Square Approach [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2021
This study aims to analyze the factors determining economic growth in ASEAN countries, which are the ASEAN economic community members as a potential center for world economic growth. The research method applied in this study was a panel data analysis model with a feasible generalized least square approach.

How Does E-Government Affect Corruption? Provincial Panel Evidence From China

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
To investigate whether and how e-government affects corruption, this study collects longitudinal data (2006-2015) from 29 Chinese provinces for empirical analysis by adopting Feasible Generalized Least Squares (FGLS) and Panel Threshold Regression (PTR ...

Child labor and its determinants: An empirical test of the luxury axiom-cum the wealth paradox theory

open access: yesCogent Economics & Finance, 2023
The paper was motivated to test whether the high child labor prevalence observed in Ethiopia is explained by the poverty (luxury) hypothesis or wealth paradox theories. The data for this study is the Young Lives project, consisting of 1803 children units
