Substitute Geometry of Multidimensional Features
CIRP Annals, 2004Abstract A substitute feature equation (SFE) which is of vital importance in geometric accuracy problems depends on size, position, and orientation deviations (SPODs). To synthesize the equation and evaluate its numerical parameters using CMM measurements, it is necessary to eliminate redundant components from the initial set of SPODs.

Features enhance the encoding of geometry
Animal Cognition, 2009Successful navigation within an environment requires that the traveler establish the correct heading--a process referred to as orienting. Many studies have now shown that humans and non-human animals can use the geometric properties of an enclosure to orient.

Mathematical Features of Whitehead’s Point-free Geometry
2008This paper is devoted to some mathematical considerations on the geometrical ideas contained in PNK, CN and, successively, in PR. Mainly, we will emphasize that these ideas give very promising suggestions for a modern point-free foundation of geometry.

Face recognition by feature orientation and feature geometry matching
Proceedings of 13th International Conference on Pattern Recognition, 1996In this face recognition research, the eyebrows, eyes, nostrils, lips, and face contour are extracted separately. The shape, size, object-to-object distances, centroid, and orientation are found for each object. The techniques to solve the object shifting and rotating problems are investigated.

Geometry representations with unsupervised feature learning
2016 International Conference on Big Data and Smart Computing (BigComp), 2016Geometry data in massive amounts can be generated thanks to the modern capture devices and mature geometry modeling tools. It is essential to develop the tools to analyze and utilize this big data. In this paper, we present an exploration of analyzing geometries via learning local geometry features.
