Risk management on application of minimum-cost feed ration for nitrogen and phosphorus reduction on dairy farm

open access: yes
The traditional mathematical programming model with the objective function of feed ration cost minimization is used to accommodate risk management responses to price variability associated with feeding a particular feed ration over time.

Solid‐State Nanopore Characterization of Dendrimer‐Peptide Conjugates Across Defined Peptide Loadings

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Solid‐state nanopores are used to interrogate dendrimer‐peptide conjugates with systematically varied peptide loading. Single‐particle ionic current signatures reveal how ligand density modulates deformability, transport pathways, and electromechanical coupling during translocation.

Feed efficiency and the faecal microbiome at slaughter weight in pigs

open access: yes, 2017
International audienceFeed efficiency (FE) is an important trait in the pig industry, as feed costs are responsible for the major part of production costs. Availability in the market and cost of feed ingredients dictate changes in feed composition.

The richer the better: 16S metabarcoding analysis of gut microbiota oflaying hens in relation to feed efficiency and adaptation to diet change: 16S metabarcoding analysis of gut microbiota of laying hens in relation to feed efficiency and adaptation to diet change

open access: yes, 2023
International audienceIn the egg industry, feed cost represents the majority of total production costs and breeding efforts are ongoing to improve feed efficiency of laying hens. The gut microbiota is known to play an important role in energy harvest and

Two‐Way Shape Memory Polymer Composite Gripper for Adaptive Robotic Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A two‐way shape memory polymer (SMP) composite is developed with intrinsic shape‐changing capability driven solely by temperature, eliminating external actuation loads. Embedding the SMP in a low‐stiffness elastomeric matrix enabled reversible transformations during heating and cooling cycles.
