Cooperating manipulator control with feedforward dynamic compensation

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1994
Abstract In this paper the transport of an object by two cooperating manipulators is simulated and performed experimentally. The controller used for each manipulator is the sum of two parts: (a) an off-line calculated feedforward part, which includes compensation of the manipulator and object rigid-body dynamics and (b) an on-line computed PID ...

All-Frequency PMD Compensator in Feedforward Scheme

Journal of Lightwave Technology, 2004
We present the architecture of a broad-band polarization mode dispersion (PMD) compensator in a feedforward PMD compensation scheme. It is comprised of four stages. The net effect of the first two stages is equivalent to a frequency dependent polarization rotation that aligns all PMD vectors into a common direction.

Tracking enhancement with deadbeat feedforward compensation

[Proceedings 1992] The First IEEE Conference on Control Applications, 2003
The implementation of a feedforward compensator to minimize the overshoot and settling time of a sampled-data tracking system is discussed. Deadbeat controller design techniques are utilized to determine the compensator coefficients for single-input-single-output and time-invariant plants.

Optimal Tracking Control with Feedforward Compensation

2018
This chapter presents an optimal tracking control methodology for an offshore steel jacket platform subject to external wave force. Based on a dynamic model of an offshore steel jacket platform with an AMD mechanism and a linear exogenous system model of the external wave force on the offshore platform, an optimal tracking control scheme with ...

Youla–Kučera Parametrized Adaptive Feedforward Compensators

2016
In this chapter one considers a Youla–Kucera parametrization of the feedforward compensator in the context of the “positive” feedback coupling which appears in active vibration control systems. The central Youla–Kucera controller will stabilize the internal “positive” feedback loop and an infinite (or finite) impulse response adaptive Youla–Kucera ...

Design of multistage feedforward compensated opamps

2001 Southwest Symposium on Mixed-Signal Design (Cat. No.01EX475), 2002
For applications requiring low distortion and low power and for low supply voltage environments, the multipath feed-forward compensation is an attractive design technique. It achieves high loop gain over a wide bandwidth without requiring any high speed amplifier stages or complex design equations. As a result it leads to low power solutions.

Linearization and feedforward compensation for switching systems

IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 1990
The linearization of a switching system including a feedforward compensation for power supply perturbations is obtained by the addition of a high-frequency signal. A general expression for the required shape and amplitude of this high-frequency signal is derived. The method is analyzed for its application to AC phase control systems.

Broadband analog optical transmitter by feedforward compensation

SPIE Proceedings, 2006
A feedforward over an analog optical link is known as difficult technique in spite of its superior linearization. We proposed a broadband analog feedforward optical transmitter using a wideband 180° hybrid coupler instead of conventional frequency-sensitive phase shifter with the narrow bandwidth property.

Learning control applied to feedforward compensator tuning

Proceedings of SOUTHEASTCON '94, 2002
When a robot performs the same task repeatedly, a learning controller can enhance the performance of the system significantly. The function of the learning controller is to update the feedforward compensator which cancels the dynamics of robot manipulators and friction of each joints.

A Friction Feedforward Compensation Method Based on Electromagnet Torque Feedback Compensation

Advanced Materials Research, 2012
In this paper, a structure of friction feedforward compensation based on electromagnet torque feedback compensation is proposed to improve the speed performance of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM), especially in a low speed range. First, this paper estimates the parameters associated with the friction model via an off-line identification ...
