Improved torque feedforward compensation method considering position tracking error compensation

Industrial Robot: the international journal of robotics research and application
Purpose This paper aims to investigate the suppression of end-point vibrations in industrial robot systems that exhibit joint flexibility and are subject to external disturbances. Design/methodology/approach The real-time position tracking error is ...

Feedforward compensated multiloop control of a power plant

2000 Power Engineering Society Summer Meeting (Cat. No.00CH37134), 2002
Most control systems for fossil-fuel power plants basically consist of multiloop configurations of PID-based feedback control loops complemented with many feedforward compensations, which have been added to minimize the effects of interaction among the control loops due to the coupled process dynamics.

Feedforward phase noise compensation

2018
Clock systems with phase noise compensation are provided herein. In certain implementations, a clock system includes a phase noise detector for detecting a phase noise of a clock signal, and an adjustable delay circuit for generating an adjusted clock signal based on delaying the clock signal with a controllable delay.

Adaptive critic neural network for feedforward compensation

Proceedings of the 1999 American Control Conference (Cat. No. 99CH36251), 1999
The paper is concerned with the application of adaptive critic techniques to feedback control of nonlinear systems using neural networks (NN). No initial model for the nonlinear system is necessary. The work shows how to cope with nonlinearities through adaptive critics with no preliminary off-line learning required.

Feedback–Feedforward Compensation of a DC Motor

2019 IEEE PES/IAS PowerAfrica, 2019
The separately-excited DC motor is a high-performance variable speed drive vital for industrial applications such as robotics, actuation, control and guided manipulation because of its precision, simplicity, continuous control feature and wide speed range. Hence there is need to regulate and drive the motor at desired speed in the presence of parameter

On the filtered Smith predictor with feedforward compensation

Journal of Process Control, 2016
Abstract This paper discusses about a general implementation structure of the filtered Smith predictor for single-input single-output processes with a measurable disturbance. Dead-time free models are used to feed-forward the measurable disturbance into the feedback controller. It is demonstrated that the proposed controller can be applied to control
