Machine Learning‐Assisted KCl‐CaCl2‐LiCl Electrolyte Design for Low‐Temperature, High‐Performance Calcium‐Based Liquid Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A machine learning‐assisted framework optimizes the KCl‐CaCl2‐LiCl ternary electrolyte. The optimized 13:35:52 mol% composition enables Ca‐based liquid metal batteries to operate stably at 480 °C, with >99.5% coulombic efficiency, ultralow self‐discharge, and excellent cycling stability, advancing low‐temperature large‐scale energy storage.

Subtractive, divisive and non-monotonic gain control in feedforward nets linearized by noise and delays

open access: yesFrontiers in Computational Neuroscience, 2014
The control of input-to-output mappings, or gain control, is one of the main strategies used by neural networks for the processing and gating of information.

Designing and tuning robust feedforward controllers

open access: yesComputers & Chemical Engineering, 2004
Abstract A model-based design and tuning procedure is proposed for feedforward controllers, which accounts for model uncertainties in SISO systems. Proper relationships for the analysis of feedforward–feedback control systems show that tuning the feedforward controller is not completely independent from the feedback-loop spectral characteristics ...

A feedforward approach to mid-ranging control

open access: yes, 2021
Mid-ranging control is a control strategy that is used when there are more than one manipulated variable available to control a process variable. Mid-ranging control handles the redundancy by coordinating the roles of the different manipulated variables.

Targeting Lactate‐Driven Stromal Autophagy via MCT1 Disrupts the Immunosuppressive Niche and Sensitizes Pancreatic Cancer to PD‐1 Blockade

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tumor‐derived lactate activates PSCs through MCT1‐mediated Vps34 lactylation and autophagy. These activated PSCs secrete CXCL9/10, upregulating PD‐1 on CD8+ T cells via the CXCR3/STAT3 axis to foster immunosuppression. Disrupting this metabolic crosstalk by targeting MCT1 effectively sensitizes pancreatic cancer to PD‐1 blockade, presenting a promising

Event-triggered Feedforward Control subject to Actuator Saturation for Disturbance Compensation∗

open access: yes, 2018
Feedfoward control is widely used to compensate measurable external disturbances. This paper studies feedforward control using an event-triggered sensor. Stability conditions when the feedback control is subject to actuator saturation are derived.

A practical solution to the saturation problem in feedforward control for measurable disturbances

open access: yes, 2023
This paper treats the problem of control signal saturation caused by feedforward control from measurable load disturbances. An efficient feedforward compensator will often give significant peaks in the control signal at fast changes in the load ...

CauFinder: Steering Cell‐State and Phenotype Transitions by Causal Disentanglement Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CauFinder combines causal disentanglement modeling and network control to prioritize causal drivers of cell‐state transitions from observational transcriptomic data. The framework separates transition‐relevant signals from spurious associations, nominates intervention targets across biological and disease contexts, and identifies DAAM1 as an actionable

Feedforward control for oscillatory signal tracking using Hilbert transform

open access: yes, 2019
This paper presents feedforward control for oscillatory signal tracking using Hilbert transform. The proposed controller utilizes Hilbert transform and analysis techniques to determine the signal\u27s amplitude, frequency, and phase.
