Time‐Frequency Market‐State Learning for Execution‐Aware Directional Prediction: Evidence From the CSI 300 Index

open access: yesInternational Studies of Economics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Financial markets can be viewed as multiscale information systems in which short‐lived disturbances, recurrent temporal patterns, liquidity conditions, and execution constraints jointly shape index price movements. This study develops an empirical‐wavelet‐and‐Fourier time‐frequency (EFT) feature block integrated with a ConvTransformer ...

Mapping the Landscape of Over‐Scanning in CT Imaging: A Scoping Review

open access: yesJournal of Medical Radiation Sciences, EarlyView.
Over‐scanning in CT is highly prevalent and contributes to unnecessary radiation exposure, with notable impact on radiosensitive organs. Standardised protocols and AI‐assisted planning show strong potential to optimise scan range and reduce excess dose.

Driving Cerebellar Theta Oscillations Interferes With Voluntary Neck Movements in Cervical Dystonia

open access: yesMovement Disorders, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Cervical dystonia (CD) is a movement disorder with a complex pathophysiology, including cerebellar abnormalities. Transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS), a noninvasive neuromodulation technique capable of entraining brain oscillations, can transiently modulate neuronal activity and enhance resonant rhythms.

Machine Learning‐Assisted Prediction and Analysis of Viscosity and Fusion Characteristics for Coal and Biomass Ash

open access: yesMaterials Genome Engineering Advances, EarlyView.
This study develops a machine learning framework for predicting the flow temperature and viscosity of coal and biomass ash with CatBoost and LightGBM as the optimal models. Feature analysis revealed composition‐property mechanisms, and symbolic regression was further applied to derive empirical formulas for rapid and accurate prediction.

Representation and learning in feedforward neural networks

open access: yesCWI Quarterly, 1993
Summary: The paper gives an introduction to feedforward neural networks. The aim is to present some of the basics of artificial neural networks, with a particular emphasis on the following two central issues. The first central issue of this paper is: in what sense do artificial neural networks represent mathematical functions, and what mathematical ...

Dynamic Performance Enhancement of a High‐Agility Hypersonic Mechanical System via a Learning‐Augmented Robust Control Architecture

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mechanical System Dynamics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The design of control systems for high‐agility mechanical systems operating in extreme environments is a significant challenge in nonlinear dynamics. This paper addresses the complex dynamic control problem of a hypersonic interceptor, modeled as a multi‐input multi‐output (MIMO) mechanical system characterized by strong aerodynamic cross ...

Designing ZV and ZVD Input Shapers Using the Designed Fixed Output Response Method to Suppress Residual Vibration of Overhead Crane Systems With Trolley Traveling and Payload Hoisting

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mechanical System Dynamics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Classical Zero Vibration (ZV) and Zero Vibration and Derivative (ZVD) input shapers are designed around a fixed nominal natural frequency and cannot accommodate the time‐varying dynamics introduced when an overhead crane simultaneously travels and hoists a payload.
