Reduction of Proximity Effects on UHF Passive RFID Systems by Using Tags with Polarization Diversity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
A new technique that enables passive ultra high fre- quency (UHF) radio frequency identification (RFID) tags to be read when they are placed in close proximity in an array is pre- sented.

Multi‐Shot Estimation of Resonance Parameters of Late‐Time Radar Returns in Clutter

open access: yesIET Radar, Sonar &Navigation, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
A technique for estimating the resonant features of radar targets based on their late‐time returns (LTRs) is presented. Experimental results demonstrate that the technique is effective in scenarios where the target is embedded in significant clutter, and the signal‐to‐noise ratio in the LTRs is quite low.

An effective methodology to design scale model for magnetic absorbing coatings based on ORL

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2017
The scale measurement has a great significance in studying electromagnetic scattering properties. But there still exist great difficulties in constructing an accurate scale model including nonmetallic materials such as magnetic absorbing coatings.

Results from EDGES High-Band: I. Constraints on Phenomenological Models for the Global $21$ cm Signal

open access: yes, 2017
We report constraints on the global $21$ cm signal due to neutral hydrogen at redshifts $14.8 \geq z \geq 6.5$. We derive our constraints from low foreground observations of the average sky brightness spectrum conducted with the EDGES High-Band ...

Electromagnetic Cavity Effects from Transmitters Inside a Launch Vehicle Fairing [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
This paper provides insight into the difficult analytical issue for launch vehicles and spacecraft that has applicability outside of the launch industry. Radiation from spacecraft or launch vehicle antennas located within enclosures in the launch vehicle

Improvement of Field Uniformity Evaluation in Reverberation Chambers: A Simulation‐Based Analysis of EUT Volume and Uniform Region Proportion

open access: yesIET Science, Measurement &Technology, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
This study demonstrates that the conventional 8% physical volume rule for Equipment Under Tests (EUTs) in reverberation chambers is an unreliable guideline for maintaining field uniformity. Our full‐wave simulation results prove that an EUT's electrical size and geometric shape are the more critical factors.
