Preasymptotic error analysis of higher order FEM and CIP-FEM for Helmholtz equation with high wave number [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2014
A preasymptotic error analysis of the finite element method (FEM) and some continuous interior penalty finite element method (CIP-FEM) for Helmholtz equation in two and three dimensions is proposed. $H^1$- and $L^2$- error estimates with explicit dependence on the wave number $k$ are derived.

FEM: feature-enhanced map [PDF]

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section D Biological Crystallography, 2015
A method is presented that modifies a 2mFobs−DFmodelσA-weighted map such that the resulting map can strengthen a weak signal, if present, and can reduce model bias and noise. The method consists of first randomizing the starting map and filling in missing reflections using multiple methods.

Pengembangan Daftar Arsip Inaktif untuk Simplikasi Monitoring Penyusutan Arsip di Departemen Manajemen Fakultas Ekonomi dan Manajemen Institut Pertanian Bogor (FEM IPB)

open access: yesKhazanah: Jurnal Pengembangan Kearsipan, 2022

A probabilistic finite element method based on random meshes: Error estimators and Bayesian inverse problems [PDF]

open access: yesComput. Methods Appl. Mech. Engrg. 384 (2021) 113961, 2021
We present a novel probabilistic finite element method (FEM) for the solution and uncertainty quantification of elliptic partial differential equations based on random meshes, which we call random mesh FEM (RM-FEM). Our methodology allows to introduce a probability measure on standard piecewise linear FEM. We present a posteriori error estimators based

FEM modelling of the evolution of corrosion cracks in reinforced concrete structures

open access: yesReliability and Optimization of Structural Systems, 2020
: Corrosion cracks are caused bythe increased volume of corrosion products during the corrosion of the reinforcement. After corrosion initiation the rust products from the corroded reinforcement will initially fill the porous zone near the reinforcement ...

Improvement of Caciotta-like cheese nutritional value by means of enrichment with blackcurrant (Ribes nigrum) and Cornelian cherry (Cornus mas)

open access: yesFrontiers in Nutrition, 2023
IntroductionIn this study, we supplemented models of Caciotta-like cheese with blackcurrant (Ribes nigrum) and Cornelian cherry (Cornus mas), as they have a high content of polyphenols, known as phytochemicals associated with health benefits.

Dense Tactile Force Estimation using GelSlim and inverse FEM [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, 2018
In this paper, we present a new version of tactile sensor GelSlim 2.0 with the capability to estimate the contact force distribution in real time. The sensor is vision-based and uses an array of markers to track deformations on a gel pad due to contact ...
