Unusual case of mixed form of femoroacetabular impingement combined with nonspecyfic synovitis of the hip joint in a young adult: A case report [PDF]
Introduction. Minimal bone changes in the acetabulum and/or proximal femur, through mechanism known as femoroacetabular impingement, during flexion, adduction and internal rotation lead to early contact between femoral head-neck junction and ...

Abstract Purpose Clinical examination is an important part in the diagnosis of femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) syndrome. However, knowledge on reliability and validity of clinical diagnostic tests is scarce. The aims were to evaluate the inter‐rater agreement and diagnostic accuracy of clinical tests to detect patients with FAI syndrome.

Arthroscopic Hip Capsular Plication With Augmentation Using a Bioinductive Collagen Implant
Abstract With advancements in arthroscopic techniques and instrumentation, hip arthroscopy has become an increasingly used technique to treat soft‐tissue and osseous pathologies about the hip. Patient predisposition to labral and capsular injuries can present as femoroacetabular impingement or hip dysplasia, sometimes in combination.

Arthroscopic Treatment of Acetabular Chondral Delamination
Abstract Acetabular cartilage debonding is associated with an intraoperative finding known as the wave sign. As the result of the difficulties of identifying chondral injuries on preoperative imaging, the wave sign, also known as the bubble sign or carpet phenomenon, provides necessary information on the condition of the acetabular cartilage.

Abstract The positive effect of the capsular closure in maintaining the integrity of the joint capsule has been demonstrated, but most capsular closure techniques are primarily for interportal capsulotomy, with few techniques described for longitudinal capsulotomy. In our clinical practice, the incomplete closure of the proximal capsule in longitudinal

Current understanding of articular cartilage lesions in femoroacetabular impingement syndrome
The concept of femoroacetabular impingement syndrome (FAIS) has received much attention over the past 20 years. Currently, it is believed that FAIS can lead to intra-articular pathologies such as labral tears and articular cartilage lesions, resulting in
