“Trifurcation” of femoral artery
The present study describes analytically a rare case in which a trifurcation of Femoral Artery in Superficial Femoral Artery, Deep Femoral Artery and Lateral Circumflex Femoral Artery was found during dissection of a cadaver. This variation can be considered as a subdivision of Lateral Circumflex Femoral Artery arising from Femoral Artery (frequency ...

The most common anatomical variation of the superficial femoral artery (SFA) is hypoplasia or aplasia associated with a persistent sciatic artery. We report a case exhibiting SFA hypoplasia combined with connection of the deep femoral artery (DFA) to the popliteal artery (in other words, the DFA became the popliteal artery).

Automated Measurement of Vascular Calcification in Femoral Endarterectomy Patients Using Deep Learning [PDF]
Atherosclerosis, a chronic inflammatory disease affecting the large arteries, presents a global health risk. Accurate analysis of diagnostic images, like computed tomographic angiograms (CTAs), is essential for staging and monitoring the progression of atherosclerosis-related conditions, including peripheral arterial disease (PAD).

Ilio-Deep Femoral Bypass – an Alternative Treatment Strategy to Critical Limb Ischemia (CLI)
Background: Critical limb ischemia is considered the most severe form of peripheral artery disease. High morbidity and mortality rates are associated with this pathology due to poor economic management of complications. Case summary: A 68-year-old female

Surgical, endovascular, and hybrid treatment of deep femoral artery aneurysm: Three case reports
Key Clinical Message Deep femoral artery aneurysms (DFAA) are extremely rare. We treated four DFAAs with different procedures including surgical, endovascular, and hybrid surgery. The best treatment should be selected for each individual case.

The origin of the medial femoral circumflex artery, lateral femoral circumflex artery and obturator artery [PDF]
The most significant blood vessel supplying the hip joint is the medial femoral circumflex artery (MFCA). MFCA with lateral femoral circumflex artery (LFCA) are the first branches of the deep femoral artery (DFA) or they originate directly from the common femoral artery (CFA) or superficial femoral artery (SFA).We analyzed 100 CT angiogram of the hip ...

Background Lower extremity peripheral artery disease has become a significant health burden worldwide. Since the treatment strategies can be different if atherosclerotic disease involves different femoral artery segments, it is important to assess plaque
