A randomised controlled trial comparing adductor canal block and femoral nerve block for knee arthroplasty.

open access: yesSingapore medical journal, 2019
INTRODUCTION Adductor canal block (ACB) is hypothesised to provide superior analgesia to femoral nerve block (FNB) for total knee arthroplasty (TKA) while preserving quadriceps strength.

Injectable Dual‐Network Hydrogel System for Osteochondral Repair Combining Immunomodulation, Mechanical Adaptability, and Enhanced Tissue Integration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A UV‐triggered injectable dual‐network hydrogel is reported as the first application of bletilla striata polysaccharide (BSP) in osteochondral repair. By integrating methacrylamide‐modified BSP and nitrobenzaldehyde‐functionalized hyaluronic acid, the system achieves immunomodulation, mechanical reinforcement, and dynamic tissue adhesion, thereby ...

Biomaterials‐Based Hydrogel with Superior Bio‐Mimetic Ionic Conductivity and Tissue‐Matching Softness for Bioelectronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
By mimicking the ion‐accelerating effect of ion channel receptors in neuron membranes, a biomaterials‐based ionic hydrogel (BIH) is developed, which offers a high ionic conductivity of 7.04 S m−1, outperforming conventional chitosan, cellulose, agarose, starch, and gelatin based ionic hydrogels.

Efficacy and safety of femoral nerve block for the positioning of femur fracture patients before a spinal block – A systematic review and meta-analysis

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2019
Background The evidence supporting the benefit of femoral nerve block (FNB) for positioning before spinal anesthesia (SA) in patients suffering from a femur fracture remains inconclusive.

A Bioresorbable Neural Interface for On‐Demand Thermal Pain Block

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Bioresorbable, implantable neural electronics provide dynamic, on‐demand thermal modulation of peripheral nerves for safe, drug‐free pain relief. A microscale thin‐film heater and temperature sensor embedded within biodegradable encapsulants enable precise temperature control via real‐time feedback.
