Abstract Isolated posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) ruptures are relatively uncommon among knee ligament injuries. Operative management is recommended for patients with grade III posterior knee joint laxity. The complex anatomy of the PCL, particularly its course and insertion on the femur and the tibia, makes its reconstruction technically challenging.

Background In anatomic medial patellofemoral ligament (MPFL) reconstruction, malpositioning of the MPFL femoral tunnel is common. A palpable sulcus reportedly exists at the anatomic femoral attachment of the MPFL.

Abstract This technical note describes a modified transtibial pullout repair for medial meniscus posterior root tear incorporating a barbed suture to improve fixation strength and load distribution. The technique combines 2 simple sutures placed near the torn root with a circumferential barbed suture passed through the posteromedial meniscocapsular ...

Abstract Arthroscopic techniques have gradually replaced open surgery as a routine method for treating posterior cruciate ligament tibial avulsion fractures. However, traditional arthroscopic surgery is associated with problems such as limited visualization, unstable fixation, and unsatisfactory reduction.

Abstract Recurrent patellar dislocation is a common condition in young and active individuals, with medial patellofemoral ligament (MPFL) injury being the primary pathological factor in most cases. Anatomic double‐bundle MPFL reconstruction has been established as an effective treatment for patellar instability; however, the optimal fixation method ...

Abstract Tunnel enlargement is a common challenge in revision anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction and compromises graft fixation and biological integration. Traditional 2‐stage revision procedures prolong treatment duration and increase patient morbidity.

Abstract Recurrent patellar instability may persist after isolated medial patellofemoral ligament reconstruction, particularly in cases with instability beyond early knee flexion. Recent evidence has emphasized the role of the medial patellotibial ligament as a secondary stabilizer contributing to patellofemoral stability at higher degrees of flexion ...

How anatomical is our tunnel? A three dimensional CT evaluation of femoral tunnel in anatomic anteromedial single bundle anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction [PDF]
Background: ACL reconstruction has become a common orthopaedic procedure. The anatomy and biomechanics of ACL have been one of the most researched and debated topics in the orthopaedic literature.
