Congenital Deficiency of the Femur
Journal of Pediatric Orthopaedics, 1985A classification system for congenital deficiency of the femur is introduced, based on initial radiographic appearance of the hip joint in 60 patients (70 affected limbs). Follow-up records ranging from 1 to 30 years demonstrated a relatively constant percentage of shortening in each patient with further growth (2.4% average change). Treatment programs

Infantile Fibrosarcoma of Femur
Fetal and Pediatric Pathology, 1987We describe the clinical presentation and pathological features of an infantile fibrosarcoma of the femur that occurred in a 3 1/2-month-old male infant. The tumor grew rapidly, reaching large size within a few months, finally requiring amputation. The tumor was poorly circumscribed, infiltrating the adjacent soft tissue extensively.

Intracortical lipoma of the femur
Skeletal Radiology, 2007Intracortical lipoma is an extremely rare benign primary bone tumor. We encountered a case of an intracortical lipoma found incidentally in the femur of a 31-year-old female. Magnetic resonance imaging and computed tomography of the femur demonstrated an intracortical fatty lesion in the posterolateral aspect of the diaphysis.
