Comprehensive Enantioselectivity Evaluation of Insecticidal Activity and Mammalian Toxicity of Fenobucarb

Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2022
To comprehensively evaluate the efficiency and risk of the chiral pesticide fenobucarb, the bioactivity, toxicity, and environmental behavior of fenobucarb (FNC) enantiomers were investigated. The results showed that R-FNC possesses 1.8-2.7 times more bioactivity than S-FNC but 1.3-3.0 times lower toxicity than S-FNC against four nontarget organisms ...

Fenobucarb-induced developmental neurotoxicity and mechanisms in zebrafish

NeuroToxicology, 2020
Fenobucarb (2-sec-butylphenyl methylcarbamate, BPMC) is an extensively used carbamate insecticide. Its developmental neurotoxicity and the underlying mechanisms have not been well investigated. In this study, zebrafish embryos were exposed to various concentrations of BPMC from 6 hpf (hours post fertilization, hpf) to 120 hpf.

Effect of pH, Dissolved Organic Carbon, and Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate to Degradation of Fenobucarb Insecticide in Paddy Soil-Water System [PDF]

open access: possibleSoil and Sediment Contamination: An International Journal, 2023
In paddy rice farming systems, the degradation of insecticides from the soil reduces their occurrence as well as their levels in surface and groundwater. Degradation of insecticide fenobucarb in the paddy soil-water system was carried out by surface soil collected from paddy rice in the Hue province of Vietnam.
