Differential pulse voltammetric determination of fenobucarb at the glassy carbon electrode, after its alkaline hydrolysis to a phenolic product

Electroanalysis, 1997
AbstractA differential pulse voltammetric method for the determination of fenobucarb is proposed. This N‐methylcarbamate pesticide is hydrolyzed in alkaline medium (0.02 M NaOH during ten min), and the resulting product 2‐sec‐butylphenol is oxidized at the glassy carbon electrode giving rise to a peak at a potential near 750 mV (pH 3.5).

Determination of fenobucarb residues in animal and aquatic food products using liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry coupled with a QuEChERS extraction method

Journal of Chromatography B, 2017
A modified quick, easy, cheap, effective, rugged, and safe (QuEChERS) extraction method coupled with liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry (LC-ESI+/MS-MS) was developed for quantification of fenobucarb residues in animal food products, such as porcine muscle, egg, and whole milk, and aquatic food products, such as eel ...

Sensitivity of brain cholinesterase activity to diazinon (BASUDIN 50EC) and fenobucarb (BASSA 50EC) insecticides in the air-breathing fishChanna striata(Bloch, 1793)

Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry, 2006
AbstractWith the expansion of agricultural areas within the Mekong River Delta in Vietnam, a concurrent, dramatic increase has occurred in agrochemical usage. To date, little consideration has been given to the negative impacts of this agricultural activity on the aquatic resources of the region.

Chronic Effects of an Insecticide, Fenobucarb, on the Larvae of Two Mayflies, Epeorus latifolium and Baetis thermicus, in Model Streams

Ecotoxicology, 2000
Effects of the insecticide fenobucarb on 2 mayfly species, Epeorus latifolium and Baetis thermicus, were examined in indoor model streams. Aqueous concentrations of fenobucarb residues in the model streams were 69–71% of its nominal level until 24 h, except at low concentrations (less than 2 μg l−1 in the water) in the water.

Validation and green profile assessment of a binary solvent liquid phase microextraction method for the determination of chlorbenside and fenobucarb in lake and wastewater samples by GC–MS

Environmental Science and Pollution Research, 2023
This study reports a liquid phase microextraction method based on binary extraction solvents, which were used to preconcentrate chlorbenside and fenobucarb from aqueous samples for determination by gas chromatography mass spectrometry. Parameters including the type, ratio, and volume of binary solvents, disperser solvent type and volume, and vortex ...

Evaluation of the joint toxicity of chlorpyrifos ethyl and fenobucarb on climbing perch (Anabas testudineus) from rice fields in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam

Environmental Science and Pollution Research, 2016
Organophosphates (e.g. chlorpyrifos ethyl) and carbamates (e.g. fenobucarb) are commonly used to control a wide range of pests in rice fields of the Mekong Delta in Vietnam. This study assesses the combined effect of chlorpyrifos ethyl (CPF) and fenobucarb (F), applied at concentrations used by rice farmers, on the brain acetylcholinesterase (AChE ...

Effects of Sequential Applications of Bassa 50EC (Fenobucarb) and Vitashield 40EC (Chlorpyrifos ethyl) on Acetylcholinesterase Activity in Climbing Perch (Anabas testudineus) Cultured in Rice Fields in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam

Bulletin of Environmental Contamination and Toxicology, 2016
This study assesses the effects of sequential applications of the insecticides Bassa 50EC (fenobucarb-F) and Vitashield 40EC (chlorpyrifos ethyl-CPF), sprayed at concentrations used by rice farmers in the Mekong Delta, on the brain acetylcholinesterase (AChE) in climbing perch fingerlings.
