Boosting Photo‐Pyroelectric Effect via Tunable Polarization and Interfacial Defect Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reports Ba(Ti0.85Zr0.15)O3 nanocatalysts with enhanced polarization and oxygen‐vacancy‐rich interfaces for efficient NIR‐II photo‐pyroelectric therapy. Zr doping boosts the pyroelectric coefficient and accelerates polarization switching, while oxygen vacancies improve photothermal conversion and surface reactivity.

On the Limiting Stokes' Wave of Extreme Height in Arbitrary Water Depth

open access: yes, 2018
As mentioned by Schwartz (1974) and Cokelet (1977), it was failed to gain convergent results of limiting Stokes' waves in extremely shallow water by means of perturbation methods even with the aid of extrapolation techniques such as Pad\'{e} approximant.

Multi‐Organelle Stress‐Induced Paraptosis by a ROS‐Amplifying Nanocatalyst for Enhanced Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The engineered TF‐Fe@LC nanoplatform programs paraptotic death via multipath ROS amplification that disrupts redox homeostasis, provoking mitochondrial dysfunction, autophagic blockade, and ER stress. This caspase‐independent process elicits robust immunogenic cell death, combining with αPD‐L1 to activate systemic CD8+ T‐cell immunity and suppress ...

Androgen Receptor‐Induced Lactoferrin Accelerates Prostate Tumorigenesis Through Modulating Ferroptosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that transcription factor androgen receptor (AR) directly binds the LF promoter, driving lactoferrin overexpression to promote ferritin (FTH1/FTL) upregulation and inhibit p53‐ALOX12‐mediated ferroptosis in prostate cancer. Lactoferrin could be a new potential therapeutic target in prostate cancer.

MVP Inhibits Influenza A Virus‐Induced Ferroptosis by Targeting IRF1 and Increasing FSP1 Activity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
During IAV infection, MVP inhibits IRF1 polyubiquitination, thereby relieving IRF1‐mediated transcriptional inhibition of FSP1. Consequently, this leads to an upregulation of FSP1 expression, thereby reinforcing the inhibition of ferroptosis. In addition, the MVP can promote myristoylation and ubiquitination of FSP1, enabling its membrane localization ...

AML‐Targeted Metal‐Polyphenol Nanoplatform Induces Ferroptosis‐ICD Cascade for Antitumor Immunity Boosting

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Schematic illustration of the synthesis protocol for Fe‐SH@Fn, an AML‐targeted nanoplatform engineered to co‐deliver shikonin (SH) and Fe3+, synergistically boosting antitumor immunity via ferroptosis induction and immunogenic cell death (ICD). ABSTRACT Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) remains a therapeutic challenge due to its low immunogenicity and ...

Underground measurements on secondary cosmic rays [PDF]

open access: yes
Measurements made at the Poatina cosmic ray station (41.8 S 149.9 E, 347 m.w.e.) from August 1983 to July 1984 are summarized. The cosmic ray primary particles responsible for events detected at the station have a median primary energy of 1.2 TeV.
