Deriving Binomial Convolution Formulas for Horadam Sequences via Context-Free Grammars

open access: yesAxioms
The Horadam sequence Hn(a,b;p,q) unifies a number of well-known sequences, such as Fibonacci and Lucas sequences. We use the context-free grammars as a new tool to study Horadam sequences.

JEŚMANOWICZ' CONJECTURE WITH FERMAT NUMBERS

open access: yesTaiwanese Journal of Mathematics, 2014
Let $a,b,c$ be relatively prime positive integers such that $a^{2}+b^{2}=c^{2}.$ In 1956, Je\'{s}manowicz conjectured that for any positive integer $n$, the only solution of $(an)^{x}+(bn)^{y}=(cn)^{z}$ in positive integers is $(x,y,z)=(2,2,2)$. Let $k\geq 1$ be an integer and $F_k=2^{2^k}+1$ be $k$-th Fermat number.

Coverings of solenoids and automorphisms of semigroup C*-algebras

open access: yesУчёные записки Казанского университета: Серия Физико-математические науки, 2018
The paper deals with finite-sheeted covering mappings onto the C*-adic solenoids and limit endomorphisms of semigroup C*-algebras. The aim of our exposition is two-fold: firstly, to present the results concerning the above-mentioned mappings and ...
