Probing the holographic Fermi arc with scalar field: numerical and analytical study

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
Fermi arcs are disconnected contour of Fermi surface, which can be observed in pseudo-gap phase of high temperature superconductors. Aiming to understand this pseudo-gap phenomena, we study a holographic Fermionic system coupled with a massive scalar ...

Fermi surfaces, fermi patches, and fermi arcs in high T[sub c] superconductors [PDF]

open access: yesAIP Conference Proceedings, 1999
A defining property of metals is the existence of a Fermi surface: for two dimensions, a continuous contour in momentum space which separates occupied from unoccupied states. In this paper, I discuss angle resolved photoemission data on the cuprate superconductor BSCCO and argue that it is not best thought of in this conventional picture.

Lattice QCD with Mismatched Fermi Surfaces [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2014
We study two flavor fermions with mismatched chemical potentials in quenched lattice QCD. We first consider a large isospin chemical potential, where a charged pion is condensed, and then introduce a small mismatch between the chemical potentials of the up quark and the anti-down quark.

Fermi surface determination from momentum density projections

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2016
The problem of determining a metal’s Fermi surface from measured projections of the electron or electron/positron momentum densities, such as those obtained by Compton scattering or angular correlation of positron annihilation radiation, respectively, is
