Constraints on dark matter annihilation to fermions and a photon
We consider Majorana dark matter annihilation to fermion-anti-fermion pair and a photon in the effective field theory paradigm, by introducing dimension 6 and dimension 8 operators in the Lagrangian.

Gauge-invariant dressed fermion propagator in massless QED_3
The infrared behaviour of the gauge-invariant dressed fermion propagator in massless QED_3 is discussed for three choices of dressing. It is found that only the propagator with the isotropic (in three Euclidean dimensions) choice of dressing is ...

Triplet fermions and Dirac fermions in borophene
Borophene is a monolayer materials made of boron. A perfect planar boropehene called $ _{12}$ borophene has Dirac cones and they are well reproduced by a tight-binding model according to recent experimental and first-principles calculation results. We explicitly derive a Dirac theory for them. Dirac cones are gapless when the inversion symmetry exists,

An Experimental Control System leveraging Bluesky and EPICS has been developed for the X‐ray Magnetic Circular Dichroism endstation at Hefei Light Source‐II. The design of a simulation debugging environment and the performance of three distinct scan modes have also been discussed. The Hefei Light Source‐II (HLS‐II) facility is undergoing upgrades to its

From Moral Supervenience to Moral Contingentism (In One Easy Step!)
ABSTRACT According to the Divide & Conquer (DC) strategy (Fogal and Risberg 2020) for explaining moral supervenience, the modal covariation between moral and natural properties can be partly explained by appeal to pure moral principles. Bhogal (2022) has recently argued that DC fails.

Fermion Masses in Emergent Electroweak Symmetry Breaking
We consider the generation of fermion masses in an emergent model of electroweak symmetry breaking with composite $W,Z$ gauge bosons. A universal bulk fermion profile in a warped extra dimension is used for all fermion flavors.

Dimer models and conformal structures
Abstract Dimer models have been the focus of intense research efforts over the last years. Our paper grew out of an effort to develop new methods to study minimizers or the asymptotic height functions of general dimer models and the geometry of their frozen boundaries.
