Triplet fermions and Dirac fermions in borophene
Borophene is a monolayer materials made of boron. A perfect planar boropehene called $β_{12}$ borophene has Dirac cones and they are well reproduced by a tight-binding model according to recent experimental and first-principles calculation results. We explicitly derive a Dirac theory for them. Dirac cones are gapless when the inversion symmetry exists,

Using carefully chosen projections, we consider different Carroll limits of relativistic Dirac fermions in any spacetime dimensions. These limits define Carroll fermions of two types: electric and magnetic.

Fermionization of Two Distinguishable Fermions [PDF]
In this work we study a system of two distinguishable fermions in a 1D harmonic potential. This system has the exceptional property that there is an analytic solution for arbitrary values of the interparticle interaction. We tune the interaction strength via a magnetic offset field and compare the measured properties of the system to the theoretical ...

The Influence of the Symmetry of Identical Particles on Flight Times
In this work, our purpose is to show how the symmetry of identical particles can influence the time evolution of free particles in the nonrelativistic and relativistic domains as well as in the scattering by a potential δ-barrier.

Warm Dark Matter from Higher-Dimensional Gauge Theories
Warm dark matter particles with masses in the keV range have been linked with the large group representations in gauge theories through a high number of species at decoupling.

Energetic Cost of Statistical Order-Degree Change in a Fermions’ Set
We discuss novel many-fermions thermodynamics’ features. They refer to the energy cost associated to order-disorder changes. Our thermal quantum statistical scenario is controlled by suitable fermion-fermion interactions.

Fermionic Greybody Factors in Schwarzschild Acoustic Black Holes
In Schwarzschild acoustic black hole (SABH) spacetime, we investigate the wave dynamics for the fermions. To this end, we first take into account the Dirac equation in the SABH by employing a null tetrad in the Newman–Penrose (NP) formalism.

Tangent Fermions: Dirac or Majorana Fermions on a Lattice Without Fermion Doubling
AbstractMethods to discretize the Hamiltonian of a topological insulator or topological superconductor, without giving up on the topological protection of the massless excitations (respectively, Dirac fermions or Majorana fermions) are reviewed. The method of tangent fermions, pioneered by Richard Stacey, is singled out as being uniquely suited for ...

A Variational Approach to Excited Fermions on Kinks
We study the back-reaction of fermion fields on the kink solution in one space and one time dimension. We employ a variational procedure to determine an upper limit for the minimum of the total energy.
