High‐Performance Electrocatalysts of Potassium Lactate Oxidation for Hydrogen and Solid Potassium Acetate Production

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 37, Issue 13, April 2, 2025.
Potassium lactate, produced from polylactic acid plastic waste, is oxidized to potassium acetate on an anode using Ni(Co)OOH as the electrocatalyst, while hydrogen is simultaneously generated at the cathode, through a highly efficient industrial‐scale electrolysis system.

Evaluation of Wastewater Treatment of Detergent Industry Using Coagulation Procession Pilot Scale

open access: yesMajallah-i Dānishgāh-i ’Ulūm-i Pizishkī-i Shahīd Ṣadūqī Yazd, 2005
Introduction: Surfactant or surface active agents are slightly soluble in water and cause foaming in waste treatment plants and also in the surface waters into which the waste effluent is discharged. During aeration of wastewater, these compounds collect

The Promise of Solid Lubricants for a Sustainable Future

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Lubricants are vital for technology, saving energy and resources. The industry seeks sustainable solutions beyond fossil fuels. Solid lubricants offer extremely low friction and reduce environmental impact, especially in harsh conditions. Can these solids truly replace liquid lubricants, or are they limited to extreme applications?

Valorization of Spent Coffee Grounds: Comparing Phenolic Content and Antioxidant Activity in Solid-Liquid vs. Subcritical Water Extraction Methods

open access: yesBiology and Life Sciences Forum
The aim of this work was to extract phenolic compounds (PCs) from spent coffee grounds (SCGs) using two different methods (solid-liquid extraction (SLE) and subcritical water extraction (SWE)) and compare their total phenolic content (TPC) and their ...
