Heat capacity of ferrite-garnet nanowire with domain wall

Physica B: Condensed Matter, 2019
Abstract Formalism is proposed for studying of the thermodynamic properties of ferromagnetic nanowires, on the basis of which it is established that at temperatures below the Debye temperature the contribution of a domain wall to the heat capacity of ferrite-garnet nanowires can exceed the phonon and magnon contributions.

Mixed conductivity of garnet phases based on gadolinium ferrite

Journal of the European Ceramic Society, 2004
Abstract Incorporation of Pr and Ca into the garnet lattice of Gd3Fe5O12±δ was found to increase the electronic conductivity, and to decrease the thermal expansion coefficients and oxygen ion transference numbers. The ionic conductivity of Gd2.2Pr0.8Fe5O12±δ ceramics is similar to that of undoped gadolinium ferrite, whilst Gd2.5Ca0.5Fe5O12-δ exhibits

Ferrite-garnet films, domain dynamic structure and anger state

Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 1995
Abstract For the determination of the existence conditions of the anger state, more than 20 samples with perpendicular anisotropy and different magnetic properties have been investigated. All static magnetic parameters of these films are determined. After analysing them, the correlations of parameters of samples responsible for the existence of the ...

On the magnetic phase transition in terbium ferrite-garnet

Solid State Communications, 1978
It is shown that anomalies on the magnetization curves of the samples of terbium ferrite-garnet (Tb3Fe5O12) revealed by Tran Khanh Vien and Dormann [1] are due to the first order spin-reorientation phase transition in iron sublattices. This transition is satisfactorily described by the simple phenomenological theory taking into consideration only ...

Magnetoelastic coupling constants of the ferrites and garnets

Proceedings of the IEEE, 1965
Magnetoelastic coupling has proven useful in microwave-frequency delay lines and amplifiers. Techniques for measuring the magnetoelastic coupling constants are reviewed here, and some results for the ferrites and garnets are given. The microscopic origin of magnetoelasfic coupling is also discussed.

Isomorphism of actinides and REE in synthetic ferrite garnets

Geology of Ore Deposits, 2010
The reprocessing of spent nuclear fuel (SNF) is accompanied by the formation of liquid high-level radioactive waste (HLW). To increase the safety of handling HLW, it is proposed to extract actinide isotopes (An) and REE from them. These elements may be incorporated into crystalline matrices, e.g., based on ferrites with garnet structure, and then ...
