Development of a compact near-infrared lamp furnace for synchrotron powder diffraction and its application for in situ high-temperature observation of ferrite magnets

open access: yesScience and Technology of Advanced Materials: Methods
The effective development of functional materials requires a thorough understanding of their high-temperature thermodynamic properties under material production process conditions. In this study, we develop high-temperature synchrotron X-ray diffraction (

Power‐to‐X Processes with Synthetic Iron Oxides

open access: yessteel research international, EarlyView.
Iron oxide redox cycling connects electrolytic hydrogen production and storage, enabling synthesis gas generation for synthetic hydrocarbons. Integrating H2/CO2 cycles offers carbon‐neutral energy storage and industrial applications, especially in commodity chemical industries. An aluminous‐rich binder stabilizes a sample over 20 H2/CO2 cycles, without

Recycling End‐of‐Life Solid Oxide Cell Interconnect Assemblies into Commercial‐Grade AISI 304 Stainless Steels

open access: yessteel research international, EarlyView.
This study validates a recycling pathway for converting interconnect assemblies from end‐of‐life SOC stacks into commercial‐grade AISI 304 steels. Using scrap‐based steelmaking operations, austenitic cast steels with <4.0% δ‐ferrite are successfully produced.
