Method for optimizing the magnetic circuit of a linear generator using FEM simulations

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2020
Within the area of permanent magnet electrical machines, there is an ongoing focus on replacing the rare earth permanent magnets with alternatives. An option is hard ferrites, commonly used in other applications.

Beam instrumentation for the Tevatron Collider [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The Tevatron in Collider Run II (2001-present) is operating with six times more bunches and many times higher beam intensities and luminosities than in Run I (1992-1995).

Assessment of torque components in brushless permanent-magnet machines through numerical analysis of the electromagnetic field [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
For the calculation of torque in brushless (BL) alternating current motors a local method is proposed, based on the Maxwell stress theory and the filtered contributions due to the harmonics of the magnetic vector potential in the motor air gap.

Multipolar Resonances in Electro‐Optic Metasurfaces with Moderate Refractive Index

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, EarlyView.
Electro‐optic nanoantennas with moderate refractive indices of 2.3 to 3.0 are numerically shown to sustain strong multipolar resonances, enabling efficient light confinement and EO tuning. Multipolar modes of even parity are most sensitive to variations in the refractive index.
