Ferrites are magnetic iron oxide compounds having, in general, the spinel structure. Because of their high resistivity as compared to magnetic alloys, they are used wherever high frequencies are involved. During the last 15 years several distinct classes of ferrites have been developed, different with respect to chemical constitution as well as ...

Fine-Grained Ferrites. I. Nickel Ferrite
Journal of Applied Physics, 1961A process has been developed for preparing dense nickel ferrite bodies composed of grains small enough to remain single domain. The magnetic and crystallographic properties of these bodies have been determined. This was accomplished by combining two techniques, flame-spraying and hot-pressing, and investigating the effect of varying the parameters in ...

In treating the behavior of the magnetic moments of unbalanced electron spins in ferromagnetic materials under the action of an rf field, second-order terms in the alternating components are usually neglected. It is shown here that retention of certain second-order terms for one component of the magnetization predicts the possibility of using ferrites ...

Exchange coupled Co-ferrite/Zn-ferrite bilayer
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2013Nanocrystalline Co-ferrite, Zn-ferrite single layers and Co-ferrite/Zn-ferrite bilayer were deposited by the pulsed laser deposition technique on amorphous fused quartz substrate at substrate temperature of 450°C. The magnetic properties of the bilayer and of the single layer films were studied at 300 K and at 10 K.
