The distribution of iron in ferritin
Archives of Biochemistry and Biophysics, 1973 Abstract Ferritin was fractionated on the basis of its iron content, and the iron to protein ratios of the fractions were determined. The predominant molecular species for both horse spleen and rat liver ferritins contained 2000 iron atoms per mole of protein.Yoshiro Niitsu, Irving Listowskyopenaire +3 more sourcesSelective VPS34 inhibitor blocks autophagy and uncovers a role for NCOA4 in ferritin degradation and iron homeostasis in vivo
