Dielectric properties of the ferroelectric ceramics [PDF]

open access: possibleJournal of Physics D: Applied Physics, 1998
The temperature and frequency dependences of the permittivity , the dielectric loss factor and the resistance R of the ceramic Ti in the interval 100-800C were studied. A ferroelectric phase transition at temperature C was observed. Hysteresis loops typical for ceramic ferroelectrics were observed. Relaxation maxima of the dielectric loss factor in the

Flexoelectric response of ferroelectric ceramics with reduced surface layer effect

, 2021
The flexoelectric response of Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3-based and (Ba,Sr)TiO3 ferroelectric ceramics with sputtered or fired-on Ag, Au, and Ag/Pd electrodes was investigated.

Viscoplastic models for ferroelectric ceramics [PDF]

open access: possibleJournal of the European Ceramic Society, 2005
Nonlinear hysteretic phenomena in polycrystalline ferroelectric ceramics are simulated using viscoplastic (rate-dependent) models without a switching condition. Viscoplastic models describe the domain structure evolution effectively: in terms of rate equations for the volume fractions of orientation variants.

Coulomb Microexplosions of Ferroelectric Ceramics

Physical Review Letters, 2008
Energetic neutral and extreme ultraviolet emission initiated by the dense plasma propagation along a ferroelectric surface has been found. It was shown that the emission of neutrals is characterized by a large divergence and velocities up to 7 x 10(7) cm/s.

Grain-Oriented Ferroelectric Ceramics with Single-Crystal-like Piezoelectric Properties and Low Texture Temperature.

ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces, 2020
High-performance piezoelectrics are pivotal to various electronic applications including multilayer actuators, sensors, and energy harvesters. Despite the presence of high Lotgering factor F001, two key limitations to today's relaxor-PbTiO3 textured ...

Fracture behavior of ferroelectric ceramics

SPIE Proceedings, 1999
Piezoelectric actuators are key components in many smart structures applications. Long term reliability of these actuators becomes increasingly important as research makes the transition to commercial applications. Fracture toughness is a material parameter that measures a material's resistance to crack propagation.

Ferroelectric and dielectric properties of ferrite-ferroelectric ceramic composites

Journal of Applied Physics, 2013
Particulate composites of ferrite and ferroelectric phases with xNiFe2O4 (NF) and (1 − x)Pb0.988(Zr0.52Ti0.48)0.976Nb0.024O3 (where x = 2, 10, 20, 30, 50, 70, and 100 wt. %) were prepared in situ by sol-gel method. The presence of a diphase composition was confirmed by X-ray diffraction while the microstructure of the composites was studied by scanning

Strong ultrasonic microwaves in ferroelectric ceramics [PDF]

open access: possible1996 IEEE Ultrasonics Symposium. Proceedings, 1998
It is well known that ferroelectric materials have piezoelectric properties which allow the transformation of electrical signals into mechanical signals and vice versa. The transducer action normally is restricted to frequencies up to the mechanical resonance frequency of the sample.

Lead-free relaxor-ferroelectric ceramics for high-energy-storage applications

, 2020
Relaxor-ferroelectric ceramics capacitors have been in the front lines of investigations aimed at optimizing energy density due to their high Pmax, suppressed Pr, and high BDS levels, attributed to their highly dynamic polar nano-regions. A set of (1 − x)
