Multiferroic materials are those materials in which more than one ferroic order coexist. The most technologically appealing multiferroic materials are those showing ferromagnetism and ferroelectricity. Coupling between the mentioned ferroic orders, called magnetoelectric coupling, can yield to new interesting functional applications.
