Characterization of Ferromagnetic Precipitates in Glasses by Ferromagnetic Resonance

1977
Ferromagnetic phases precipitated from iron-containing silicate glasses have been identified and characterized by studying the integrated intensity of the ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) as a function of sample temperature. The data show a completely different character for metallic iron precipitates and ferric iron spinel precipitates — a result which ...

What is ferromagnetic resonance?

British Journal of Applied Physics, 1960
It is pointed out that two distinct resonance effects take place in ferrite samples at microwave frequencies, ferromagnetic resonance and an effect due to the shape of the specimen. The latter effect is called Kittel resonance in this paper. It is commonly supposed that the two effects are the same, but it is shown that this is not the case.

Ferromagnetic Resonance in Ferrites

Nature, 1954
FERROMAGNETIC resonance studies have been made on polycrystalline specimens of the ferromagnetic systems (1 − x)(LiFe5O8)x(CdFe2O4), Li(Fe1−xAlx)5O8, Ni1−xZnxFe2O4 placed in resonant, cavities operating at frequencies of 9,470, 23,940 and 34,400 Mc./sec.

Ferromagnetic Resonance and the Internal Field in Ferromagnetic Materials

Proceedings of the Physical Society. Section A, 1951
A classical treatment of the domain energy terms of a homogeneous ferromagnetic solid leads to a formula for the internal field contributions from these terms. With this result, modifications in the resonance condition of ferromagnetic resonance arising from self energy, exchange energy, magnetocrystalline anisotropy, and applied or intrinsic stress ...
