Unidirectional anisotropy in cubic FeGe with antisymmetric spin-spin-coupling

open access: yes, 2020
We report strong unidirectional anisotropy in bulk polycrystalline B20 FeGe measured by ferromagnetic resonance spectroscopy. Bulk and micron-sized samples were produced and analytically characterized.

Sustainable Synthesis of Bio‐Based Magnetic and Conductive Wood for Electromagnetic Interference Shielding Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A wood‐based magnetic and conductive material called Magwood (MW), capable of blocking almost 99.99% of electromagnetic waves (in the X‐band frequency range), is synthesized using a simple, solvent‐free process. MW is lightweight, resists water, and is flame‐retardant, making it a promising alternative for shielding electronics. The rapid proliferation

Magnetic and microwave properties of (Ni,Co)Fe2O4-ferroelectric and (La,Ca,Sr)MnO3-ferroelectric multilayer structures

open access: yes, 2003
Structural, magnetic and ferromagnetic resonance characterization studies have been performed on lay-ered ferromagnetic-ferroelectric oxides that show strong magnetoelectric coupling. The samples contained thick films of ferrites or substituted lanthanum

Synchrotron Radiation for Quantum Technology

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Materials and interfaces underpin quantum technologies, with synchrotron and FEL methods key to understanding and optimizing them. Advances span superconducting and semiconducting qubits, 2D materials, and topological systems, where strain, defects, and interfaces govern performance.

Ferromagnetic Resonance Characterization of Nano-FePt by Electron Spin Resonance

open access: yesJournal of Spectroscopy, 2013
Electron spin resonance (ESR) measurements at room temperature and X-band microwave frequency were performed on highly crystalline FePt system thin films. Fairly high DC static magnetic field absorption of about 300 mT was observed in these films.

Voltage-circuit analysis in spin-torque ferromagnetic resonance [PDF]

open access: yesAPL Materials
Spin–orbit torque (SOT) enables efficient control of magnetization via spin–orbit coupling effects, so that accurate quantification of its efficiency is crucial for the development of spin–orbit devices.

Spin dynamics in a Curie-switch

open access: yes, 2015
Ferromagnetic resonance properties of F$_1$/f/F$_2$/AF multilayers, where weakly ferromagnetic spacer f is sandwiched between strongly ferromagnetic layers F$_1$ and F$_2$, with F$_1$ being magnetically soft and F$_2$ - magnetically hard due to exchange ...

Lumped circuit model for inductive antenna spin-wave transducers

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2022
We derive a lumped circuit model for inductive antenna spin-wave transducers in the vicinity of a ferromagnetic medium. The model considers the antenna’s Ohmic resistance, its inductance, as well as the additional inductance due to the excitation of ...
