Electrical Control of Magnetic Order Transition in 2D Antiferromagnetic Semiconductor FePS3

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The magnetic order transition of FePS3 from antiferromagnetic (AFM) to ferrimagnetic (FIM) and back to AFM is achieved via electron doping induced by various organic cations intercalation. The carrier doping‐dependent magnetic transition offers an effective approach to engineering magnetism in 2D magnetic materials by purely electrical means for future

Fabrication of Graphene Polyhedra: Unveiling New Structures, Forms, and Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A unique graphene polyhedral form is developed through the synthesis of a hybrid nanoporous carbon alloy with a core–shell structure derived from metal–organic frameworks. This material demonstrates magnetoelectric coupling at room temperature, verified by magnetic force microscopy, with controllable magnetic states.

2D Metalorganic Ferromagnets

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The single‐layered 2D metalorganic coordination network Ni‐TCNE, made from Ni atoms and tetracyanoethylene molecules on a gold surface, is established as a ferromagnet with a high magnetic remanence and coercive field. Its Curie temperature is between 10 and 20 kelvin.

On the theory of ferromagnetism

open access: yesPhysica, 1962
An attempt is made to specify the conditions under which Heisenberg's model of ferromagnetism is correct. It is found that in addition to the exchange term there are other terms in the hamiltonian, describing the effects of the band width and of polar states.

Manipulation of Antiferromagnetic Metal Phase in Nd1‐xCexNiO3 by Epitaxial Strain

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Herein, the engineering of the AFM state by epitaxial strain in Nd1‐xCexNiO3 (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.07) films is demonstrated, where both Néel temperature and the metal–metal transition temperature exhibit significant response. Particularly in the 5% Ce‐doping counterpart (Nd0.95Ce0.05NiO3), a suppression of the structural transition driven by compression strain ...
