Soliton dynamics in planar ferromagnets and anti-ferromagnets

Journal of Zhejiang University-SCIENCE A, 2003
The aim of this paper is to present a rigorous mathematical proof of the dynamical laws for the topological solitons(magnetic vortices) in ferromagnets and anti-ferromagnets. It is achieved through the conservation laws for the topological vorticity and the weak convergence methods.

Magnetoresistance in Ferromagnet/Semimetal/Ferromagnet Junctions

Japanese Journal of Applied Physics, 2004
Electrical conductance and magnetoresistance (MR) in ferromagnet (FM) junctions with a nonmagnetic (NM) spacer are calculated within the ballistic limit for the current perpendicular to the junction planes. Emphasis is placed on the roles of the electronic states of the NM spacer in the MR. The MR shows a maximum when the electronic structure of the NM

Ferromagnetism of UFe2 and Comparison with the Ferromagnetic Theories

Journal of Applied Physics, 1963
The intermetallic compound UFe2 is ferromagnetic. A considerable number of magnetization isotherms have been obtained from 200°K down to 4.2°K with applied field up to 14 000 Oe. The Curie temperature has been determined to be 172°K and the Bohr magneton number 1.02 per UFe2 molecule.

A ferromagnetic resonance investigation of ferromagnetic coupling

Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, 1997
We present the ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) mode characteristics of two ferromagnetically coupled layers. Calculations are given for an applied DC magnetic field perpendicular to the film plane. The analysis predicts the number, positions, intensities and linewidths of the FMR peaks as functions of the coupling strength K.

Ferromagnetic microswimmer

Physical Review E, 2009
The self-propelling motion of the flexible ferromagnetic swimmer is described. Necessary symmetry breaking is achieved by the buckling instability at field inversion. The characteristics of self-propulsion are in good agreement with the numerical calculations of the Floquet multipliers for the ferromagnetic filament under the action of ac magnetic ...

Realization of high Curie temperature ferromagnetism in atomically thin MoS2 and WS2 nanosheets with uniform and flower-like morphology.

Nanoscale, 2015
High Curie temperature ferromagnetism has been realized in atomically thin MoS2 and WS2 nanosheets. The ultrathin nanosheet samples were prepared via a novel, simple and efficient chemical vapor deposition method; different kinds of transition metal ...
