Nearly room temperature ferromagnetism in a magnetic metal-rich van der Waals metal

open access: yesScience Advances, 2020
A theoretically designed van der Waals ferromagnet Fe4GeTe2 is synthesized and shows the nearly room temperature ferromagnetism. In spintronics, two-dimensional van der Waals crystals constitute a most promising material class for long-distance spin ...

Ferromagnetism in Fluorides [PDF]

open access: yesIsrael Journal of Chemistry, 1978
AbstractRelatively few non‐metallic ferromagnetic materials are available. The authors give a survey of the ferromagnetic fluorides. Three main groups are considered: rare earth fluorides, layer‐type Cu2+ fluorides and LiSbF4‐type compounds.

Model simulation of ferromagnetic magnetization in n-type ZnO

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2021
We proposed a theoretical model to simulate the ferromagnetism in n-type ZnO. The model suggests that ferromagnetism arises from the spin split of the electrons in the dopant-induced impurity states by Coulomb excitation.

Mechanism for Anomalous Hall Ferromagnetism in Twisted Bilayer Graphene. [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2019
Motivated by the recent observation of an anomalous Hall effect in twisted bilayer graphene, we use a lowest Landau level model to understand the origin of the underlying symmetry-broken correlated state.

Room temperature ferromagnetism in ZnO prepared by microemulsion

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2011
Clear room temperature ferromagnetism has been observed in ZnO powders prepared by microemulsion. The O vacancy (VO) clusters mediated by the VO with one electron (F center) contributed to the ferromagnetism, while the isolated F centers contributed to ...

Spin asymmetry originating from densities of states: Criterion for ferromagnetism, structures and magnetic properties of 3d metals from crystal field based DOSs

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2021
Ferromagnetism in 3d metals is re-examined in a simple band model. It is shown that the molecular field model cannot account for the low values of coercive field in ferromagnetic pure metals, and that the standard Stoner theory of band ferromagnetism ...

Search for ferromagnetism in Mn-doped lead halide perovskites

open access: yesCommunications Physics, 2023
Lead halide perovskites are new key materials in various application areas such as high efficiency photovoltaics, lighting, and photodetectors. Doping with Mn, which is known to enhance the stability, has recently been reported to lead to ferromagnetism ...

Ferromagnetic Microswimmers [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2008
We propose a model for a novel artificial low Reynolds number swimmer, based on the magnetic interactions of a pair of ferromagnetic particles: one with hard and the other with soft magnetic properties, connected by a linear spring. Using a computational model, we analyze the behavior of the system and demonstrate that for realistic values of the ...
