Novel mesoporous chitosan-zirconia-ferrosoferric oxide as magnetic composite for defluoridation of water

open access: closedJournal of Environmental Chemical Engineering, 2020
Abstract Mesoporous chitosan-zirconia-ferrosoferric oxide (Meso-ChZrFe) composite was synthesized using chemical co-precipitation method. The composite showed could be easily separated from the solution by external magnet. The material was characterized using Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy, Energy Dispersive X ...

Effect of ferrosoferric oxide content on the performances of polysulfone–ferrosoferric oxide ultrafiltration membranes

open access: closedJournal of Membrane Science, 2008
Abstract A series of polysulfone–ferrosoferric oxide (Fe 3 O 4 ) ultrafiltration membranes with different amounts of ferrosoferric oxide were prepared from suspensions using the phase inversion process. The suspensions consisted of polysulfone, N,N -dimethylacetamide, poly(vinylpyrrolidone), and ferrosoferric oxide.

Magnetization influence on the performance of ferrosoferric oxide: polyacrylonitrile membranes in ultrafiltration of pig blood solution

open access: closedBioprocess and Biosystems Engineering, 2006
Three kinds of membranes were prepared from suspensions containing polyacrylonitrile, dimethyl sulfoxide, polyethylene glycol and different amount of Fe3O4 by the phase inversion process. The rejection rate and the flux of membrane were investigated in the filtration of pig blood solution. SEM also studied the morphologies of fouled membranes.

Acidity Controlled Desulfurization of Biogas by Using Iron (III) and Ferrosoferric (II, III) Oxide

open access: closedBulletin of the Chemical Society of Japan, 2022
Abstract Removal of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) from raw biogas is essential for feeding the refined gas with high methane (CH4) content in engines and combustion units. In small-scale farmhouses and power plants, a cheap, inexpensive, and facile desulfurization process is needed. Herein, the desulfurization process of biogas by treating with
