The end of 'lowest-low' fertility? (with supplementary materials) [PDF]

open access: yes
Period fertility rates fell to previously unseen low levels in a large number of countries beginning in the early 1990s. The persistence of Total Fertility Rates under 1.3 raised the possibility of dramatic, rapid population aging as well as population ...

Consumption of hookahs, e-cigarettes, and classic cigarettes and the impact on medically assisted reproduction treatment

open access: yesScientific Reports
Smoking of classic cigarettes has been well-established as a health risk factor, including cardiovascular, neurological, and pulmonary diseases. Adverse effects on human reproduction have also been shown. Smokers are assumed to have a significantly lower

Ecosystem‐Centered Robot Design: Toward Ecoresorbable Sustainability Robots (ESRs)

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Robots exploring natural ecosystems can support monitoring and conservation, but must adopt ecosystem‐centered design to avoid pollution, waste, and damage. This review proposes guidelines for co‐designing ecoresorbable sustainability robots (ESRs), uniting materials, robotics, and ecological contexts in a single framework.

Endometrial Assembloid Model Reveals Endometrial Gland Development Regulation by Estradiol‐Driven WNT7B Suppression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study developed a 3D endometrial assembloid model to study how uterine glands form and develop. They discovered key interactions between different cell types and identified WNT7B as a regulator controlled by estradiol‐mediated TGFβ1‐VDR interaction.

Comprehensive Profiling of N6‐methyladnosine (m6A) Readouts Reveals Novel m6A Readers That Regulate Human Embryonic Stem Cell Differentiation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This research deciphers the m6A transcriptome by profiling its sites and functional readout effects: from mRNA stability, translation to alternative splicing, across five different cell types. Machine learning model identifies novel m6A‐binding proteins DDX6 and FXR2 and novel m6A reader proteins FUBP3 and L1TD1.
