Closed-channel parameters of Feshbach resonances

open access: yesSciPost Physics
This work investigates how the closed channel of a Feshbach resonance is characterised by experimental observables. Surprisingly, it is found that the two-body observables associated with the Feshbach resonance can be insensitive to the properties of the

Lifetime of molecule-atom mixtures near a Feshbach resonance in 40K

open access: yes, 2003
We report a dramatic magnetic field dependence in the lifetime of trapped, ultracold diatomic molecules created through an s-wave Feshbach resonance in 40K.

Magnetic control of ultra-cold 6Li and 174Yb(3P2) atom mixtures with Feshbach resonances

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2015
We theoretically evaluate the feasibility to form magnetically-tunable Feshbach molecules in collisions between fermionic ^6 Li atoms and bosonic metastable ^174 Yb( ^3 P _2 ) atoms.

Random Matrix Theory Analysis of a Temperature-Related Transformation in Statistics of Fano–Feshbach Resonances in Thulium Atoms

open access: yesEntropy, 2020
Recently, the transformation from random to chaotic behavior in the statistics of Fano–Feshbach resonances was observed in thulium atoms with rising ensemble temperature.

Dipolar Bose–Einstein condensation of 168Er and anisotropic expansion dynamics

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2023
We report on the realization of Bose–Einstein condensation (BEC) of 168Er atoms in a crossed optical dipole trap. A magneto-optical trap is realized with just one laser driving the narrow-line transition which increases the phase space density and ...

Feshbach-Stabilized Insulator of Bosons in Optical Lattices

open access: yes, 2015
Feshbach resonances - namely resonances between an unbound two-body state (atomic state) and a bound (molecular) state, differing in magnetic moment - are a unique tool to tune the interaction properties of ultracold atoms.

Imbalanced Feshbach-resonant Fermi gases [PDF]

open access: yesReports on Progress in Physics, 2010
We present an overview of recent developments in species-imbalanced ("polarized") Feshbach-resonant Fermi gases. We summarize the current status of thermodynamics of these systems in terms of a phase diagram as a function of the Feshbach resonance detuning, polarization and temperature. We review instabilities of the s-wave superfluidity across the BEC-

Conversion of $^{40}$K-$^{87}$Rb mixtures into stable molecules

open access: yes, 2007
We study the conversion of $^{40}$K and $^{87}$Rb atoms into stable molecules through the stimulated Raman adiabatic passage (STIRAP) in photoassociation assisted with Feshbach resonance.

Bosons and fermions near Feshbach resonances [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Physics B: Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics, 2004
Near Feshbach resonances, $n|a|^3\gg 1$, systems of Bose and Fermi particles become strongly interacting/dense. In this unitary limit both bosons and fermions have very different properties than in a dilute gas, e.g., the energy per particle approach a value $\hbar^2n^{2/3}/m$ times an universal many-body constant.
