Localized and Extended Phases in Square Moiré Patterns

open access: yesAnnalen der Physik, Volume 537, Issue 6, June 2025.
Rotated superimposed lattices in two dimensions, the termed moiré patterns, represent a clear example of how the structure affects the physical properties of a particle moving on it. A robust numerical treatment of continuous and discrete models leads to confirm that while localized states result from angles that produce non‐commensurable lattices ...

Observation of high partial-wave Feshbach resonances in 39K Bose–Einstein condensates

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics
We report the new observation of several high partial-wave (HPW) magnetic Feshbach resonances (FRs) in ^39 K atoms of the hyperfine substate $\left|F = 1,m_{F} = -1\right\rangle$ .

Two-channel model description of confinement-induced Feshbach molecules

open access: yes, 2012
Using a two-channel model, we investigate theoretically the binding energy of confinement-induced Feshbach molecules in two- and one-dimensional ultracold atomic systems, near a Feshbach resonance.

Exotic Hadrons as Feshbach Resonances

open access: yesActa Physica Polonica B Proceedings Supplement, 2014
Since ten years ago a host of exotic resonances have challenged the usual quarkonium picture. A number of ideas have been put forward to explain these new states, but a comprehensive framework is still missing. We review the estimates for prompt production cross sections at hadron collider, and show that the interpretation of exotic states in terms of ...

Feshbach Resonance Management for Bose-Einstein Condensates

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2003
An experimentally realizable scheme of periodic sign-changing modulation of the scattering length is proposed for Bose-Einstein condensates similar to dispersion-management schemes in fiber optics. Because of controlling the scattering length via the Feshbach resonance, the scheme is named Feshbach-resonance management.

We Feel, We Understand: Examining the Moderating Effects of Publics' Empathy on Crisis Outcomes Across Crisis Types and Response Strategies

open access: yesJournal of Contingencies and Crisis Management, Volume 33, Issue 1, March 2025.
ABSTRACT This study examines how empathy, operationalized into affective and cognitive dimensions, influences stakeholders' perceptions during organisational crises. Also, the study explores the mediating role of account acceptance in the relationship between crisis response strategies and organisational outcomes.

Unified theory of strong coupling Bose polarons: From repulsive polarons to non-Gaussian many-body bound states

open access: yesPhysical Review Research
We address the Bose polaron problem of a mobile impurity interacting strongly with a host Bose-Einstein condensate through a Feshbach resonance. On the repulsive side at strong couplings, theoretical approaches predict two distinct polaron branches ...

Controlling the nature of a charged impurity in a bath of Feshbach dimers

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2020
We theoretically study the dynamics of a trapped ion that is immersed in an ultracold gas of weakly bound atomic dimers created by a Feshbach resonance.

Optically trapped Feshbach molecules of fermionic ^{161}Dy and ^{40}K

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2023
We report on the preparation of a pure ultracold sample of bosonic DyK Feshbach molecules, composed of the fermionic isotopes ^{161}Dy and ^{40}K. By sweeping a magnetic field across a resonance located near 7.3 G, we generate up to 5000 molecules at a ...

Feshbach resonances in potassium Bose-Bose mixtures

open access: yes, 2018
We present a detailed study of the scattering properties of ultracold mixtures of bosonic potassium atoms. We locate 20 previously unobserved Feshbach resonances in isotopic 39K-41K mixtures.
