SummaryLiterature on the management and outcome of the macrosomic fetus is scanty and conflicting. In a retrospective review of 199 consecutive macrosomic deliveries clinical antenatal detection was poor. The incidence of caesarean section was increased but there was negligible neonatal morbidity.
