Heart Rate Variability in Newborns From Diabetic Mothers: Clinical Application and Significance
Risk factors for GDM contribute to a hyperglycemic intrauterine environment, which may in turn impair ANS function in the offspring. Altered ANS activity can be assessed through measures such as HRV. ABSTRACT Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is one of the most common pregnancy complications, arising from inadequate insulin secretion and increased ...

A predictive model using routinely available clinical, ultrasound, and biochemical variables estimates the probability of spontaneous labor at term. Despite moderate discrimination, the model shows good calibration, supporting individualized counseling and shared decision‐making regarding expectant management and induction of labor.

Macrosomia--maternal and fetal risk factors.
Risk factors associated with fetal macrosomia were studied in 348 pregnancies resulting in the delivery of an infant weighing 4,000 g or more in a black population. Identifiable maternal risk factors included a mother in her 3rd decade of life, multiparity, maternal weight of 70 kg or more at the end of pregnancy, prolonged or post-term pregnancy ...

A Predictive Model for Intrapartum Cesarean Delivery in Multiparous Women After Active Labor Onset
ABSTRACT Objective Although prediction models for cesarean delivery have been established for nulliparous women, few have been developed for multiparous women, particularly for predicting intrapartum cesarean delivery after the onset of active labor. This study aimed to develop and validate a risk prediction model for intrapartum cesarean delivery in ...
